This 4 years old girl came with pulmonary hypertension and plethora. An echocardiogram could not visualize the pulmonary veins and the patient was sent for a cardiac CT.
The cardiac CT showed that the left superior and inferior pulmonary veins joined into a common channel (Fig. 1), which coursed posterior to the left atrium into the right lung. Small right pulmonary veins drained into this common channel (Fig. 2), which then joined the SVC (Figs. 3-5).
This is an example of a supracardiac TAPVC.
