Mitral stenosis with large left atrial (LA) thrombus

This 55-years old lady presented with breathlessness. Her echocardiogram shows moderate mitral stenosis with atrial fibrillation and a dilatd left atrium (LA) with a mass. The cardiologist was unsure about the etiology and an MRI was performed. The MRI showed an isodense lesion on the HASTE image (Fig. 1), which was non-enhancing on the delayed hyperenhanced images (Figs. 2-4) . The mitral stenosis was well seen on the cine files.
