In some situations, it is virtually impossible to see the anatomy of the vessels well on the routine 3D images. This is especially so with aberrant vessel origins as well as with unusual anatomy.
When arterial or venous grafts are placed with a retro-aortic course, proper depiction becomes an issue (Figs. 1, 2 - red arrow - LIMA-LAD, blue arrow - RIMA-OM). By individually tracing the vessels, using a semi-automatic seeding and growing tool allows to accurately trace the vessels and then to superimpose them on the shadow of the heart so that the anatomy is depicted well (Figs. 3, 4).
