This 44 years old man had right ventricular tachycardia with electrophysiology studies highly suggestive of ARVD (arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia). An MRI was performed for confirmation.
The cine images (cine files) showed hypertrabeculation and dyskinesia of the inferior and anterior walls. There was no fat infiltration however (Figs. 1, 2), though the delayed hyperenhanced images showed diffuse RV septal enhancement (Figs. 3, 4), which is now a sign highly suggestive of ARVD in the correct clinical setting.
